Description
The Senix ToughSonic50 is a “sonar range finder”. It sends a high-frequency sound wave to detect and localize targets. It measures the time it takes for the sound to bounce off the target and back to the sensor to calculate the distance between the sensor and the target.
The sensor comes in a stainless steel cylindrical housing. It meets the IP68 weather-resistant standard, meaning it can be submerged and continue to operate. The housing is threaded to match with standard US NPT pipe threading.
Applications
Green Stream uses this sensor for outdoor flood monitoring, tide monitoring, and general water level monitoring. We monitor water levels in lakes, ponds, reservoirs, streams, creeks, rivers, swamps, bays and inlets, particularly where a longer range and greater precision are required. This sensor is our choice for monitoring water levels from high bridges and piers.
