“I started Green Stream when I realized the effort and expense that was being made to monitor outdoor environmental conditions. I knew IoT innovations held an opportunity to get much higher resolution data in real time for the same cost.”

Jim is co-founder, inventor and technology architect for the Green Stream solution. He designed the end-to-end solution, from hardware/electronics to firmware, communications, the cloud-based platform and data streaming.  He drives continuous R&D and product improvement to meet customer needs.

A born innovator, Jim is passionate about IoT technologies and their potential to help solve tough problems at a level of efficiency not previously possible. He combines his expertise in electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science and love for mechanical design with his long experience leading technical teams and delivering large enterprise solutions. 

Before launching Green Stream, Jim worked for over thirty years in the tech industry, delivering software and electronics systems for federal government agencies, the military and industry. Jim has previously launched three engineering businesses. 

Jim holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University, MSc in Engineering Management/Systems Engineering from George Washington University, and completed graduate coursework in Computer Science at George Mason University.
