Sensors

A water level sensor station monitors a frequently flooded river in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Green Stream monitoring systems support a range of environmental sensors selected for reliability, flexibility, and minimal maintenance in real-world field conditions.

Water Level Sensors

Water level sensors monitor rising and falling water levels in streams, rivers, stormwater systems, coastal environments, reservoirs, and flood-prone roadways. Green Stream works with a range of field-proven sensors to fit different applications and budgets. We favor non-contact sensor technologies that reduce maintenance requirements by keeping equipment above the water surface and away from debris, sediment, and fouling.

Precipitation Sensors

Precipitation sensors measure rainfall intensity, accumulation, and precipitation type to support flood warning, storm tracking, infrastructure management, and environmental monitoring applications. Green Stream favors radar disdrometer technology over traditional tipping buckets for its very low maintenance needs.

Weather Stations

Weather stations monitor environmental conditions including precipitation, wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure.

Telemetry Systems

Telemetry systems are powered by Green Stream’s Corbo Environmental Transceivers. Each Corbo transceiver combines communications, power management, sensor interfaces, edge processing, and cloud connectivity into a compact environmental field unit designed for remote monitoring applications.

Designed for low power operation and minimal field maintenance, Corbo transceivers are self-powered using long-life rechargeable batteries and external solar panels. Ruggedized enclosures are designed for harsh outdoor environments with watertight and tamper-resistant construction suitable for flood, stormwater, coastal, and remote deployments.

Corbo transceivers support secure encrypted data transmission to the Green Stream Cloud Platform, configurable reporting intervals, remote diagnostics, and multiple communications options depending on deployment requirements and network availability.

Corbo LTE

The most widely deployed Green Stream transceiver is the LTE version. LTE-M telemetry provides reliable two-way communications with over-the-air configuration and firmware updates, onboard data logging, and flexible reporting rates. The Corbo LTE features a multi-carrier SIM, which means the transceiver automatically transmits over the strongest signal in the area; if that signal is lost, it automatically fails over to another carrier.

Corbo IMT

For areas with unreliable or non-existent cell coverage, Green Stream offers satellite telemetry. Green Stream supports Iridium’s latest messaging technologies capable of richer two-way communications and stable coverage plans.

Corbo GOES

GOES satellite telemetry is available for agencies and applications that require integration with existing public-sector environmental monitoring infrastructure and satellite-based reporting workflows.

Mount Systems

Green Stream monitoring systems are designed for flexible deployment across a wide range of environmental and infrastructure applications: bridges, railings, culverts, docks, poles, stormwater infrastructure, buildings, fences, rooftops, and other field environments.

Mounting systems are designed for efficient installation, long-term durability, and resistance to corrosion in harsh outdoor conditions including flood-prone, coastal, roadside, and marine environments. Standardized mounting approaches help reduce installation time while supporting stable and reliable operation in the field.

Green Stream mounting systems have been successfully reviewed and approved for deployment on bridge and roadway infrastructure by transportation agencies across multiple states. They satisfy DOT requirements to support safe, durable, and minimally intrusive installation in public infrastructure environments.

Custom mounting solutions are available to support unique site conditions, infrastructure constraints, and environmental requirements.
