Green Stream relocated from Norfolk, VA to Wake Forest, NC in 2020 after “graduating” from the R!oT Accelerator Program and seeing an opportunity to locate their workshop as a tenant of the Wireless Research Center. Shortly after their move the Wake Forest the COVD-19 pandemic set in. Networking events that the new company depended on to grow their business were suddenly canceled. Green Stream CEO, Karen Lindquist turned to local publications and other NC resources to start making necessary connections for their operations. Thanks to the diligent reporting of Wake Forest Business & Industry Partnership, Lindquist was able to find Atlantic Design and Manufacturing LLC, a design and fabrication shop, in Wake Forest. Through the collaboration, Atlantic built the mount parts needed for Green Stream’s flood sensors. The pandemic-born collaboration led to an ongoing partnership that is thriving today.
